Just watched The Social Dilemma.
It's so funny I was just thinking about this earlier today when doing researches for projects – the online platform would be so much more practical/useful if the informations are more categorised/organised based on their theme instead of ads and popularity.
But no, that would make this platform a tool that no one would wanna use. There will be no profit, no addicted users.
I've been trying to use these media as tools ever since I started to observe my own addiction three years ago. It's been hard, but overall I'm getting great outcomes. The anxiety of not replying to a friend instantly, the pressure of not updating art page, and the scare of not connecting with friends on internet - it can be taken off now. Return to one's own pace is good for creating too, without any unimportant pressure came from aliened from online community.
Let tools be tools!
看了Netflix上的《智能社會：進退兩難》，有趣的是今天早上在工作查相關資料的時候突然有一個想法，如果網路平台們能串連、以更加易懂的分類方式來搜尋資訊的話，那該有多好。就像圖書館一般分門別類，而不是以付費、人氣來演算搜尋結果，以現在的AI科技一定可以做到。
但不可能，因為這樣網路就不再是網路，而是一個工具。不再有同溫層、成癮使用者、沒有營收。
自從三年前發現自己常常成癮現象後，就開始一直試著將社交平台單單當作平台使用。雖然過程很艱難，例如不能及時回訊息承受的焦慮感、好像不持續更新繪圖帳號就會失去人氣、不按朋友貼文讚就會失去朋友的聯繫。但事實上，習慣了之後生活狀態好了很多，創作也因為沒有多於不必要的壓力而更加順利。
如果可以，讓工具以工具的形式存在就好。
